Who we are. TuneBro is published by Callaloo Records LLC (“we,” “our,” “us”). This policy explains how TuneBro for iOS and Android handles information.
Summary
- We do not create user accounts and we do not store recordings.
- The app uses your device microphone only to analyze pitch on-device.
- We show ads via Google AdMob. Ad networks may collect device identifiers and usage data to deliver and measure ads. You can opt out of personalized ads and you can remove ads via in-app purchase.
- In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google; we never see your full payment card details.
Information we process
Microphone audio (tuner)
TuneBro accesses the microphone to detect musical pitch. Audio is processed locally on your device and is not stored, transmitted to our servers, or used to identify you.
Device & usage data from ads
We use Google AdMob to serve banner and interstitial ads. AdMob and its partners may collect information such as: device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID/IDFA), coarse location inferred from IP, app interactions, ad impressions, and performance diagnostics. This data helps deliver, limit, and measure ads, and to detect fraud.

Purchase information
When you buy “Remove Ads,” the transaction is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive non-sensitive transaction metadata (e.g., a receipt or purchase token) to unlock features. We do not receive or store full payment card details.
How we use information
- Provide core features: process microphone input to show tuning results; animate the on-screen visual pulse for the metronome.
- Advertising: show ads, limit frequency, and prevent fraud.
- Purchases: validate and restore your non-consumable “Remove Ads” purchase.
Your choices
- Remove Ads: You can make a one-time in-app purchase to disable third-party ads.
- Ad personalization: You can opt in/out where required (e.g., EU/UK). You may also adjust system settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Ads → “Reset Advertising Identifier”.
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Delete advertising ID” / “Opt out of Ads Personalization”.
- Microphone: You can disable microphone permission in your device settings; the tuner will not work without it.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
- Consent: for personalized advertising and device-level identifiers where required.
- Performance of a contract: to deliver purchased features and app functionality.
- Legitimate interests: non-personalized advertising, security, and fraud prevention.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the app—for example AdMob for ads and Apple/Google for purchases. These providers process data under their own privacy terms.
Data retention
- Microphone input: not retained by us.
- Purchase receipts/tokens: kept as long as needed to support “Restore Purchases” and legal obligations.
- Ad data: retained by the ad network per its policies.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No system is 100% secure.
Children’s privacy
TuneBro is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will delete it where applicable.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) offered by those providers.
California & other regional rights
If you are a California resident, you may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale”/“sharing” of personal information. Because advertising identifiers can be considered a “sale”/“share,” you can opt out by removing ads in-app, choosing non-personalized ads where available, or using your device settings (see Your choices above). You may also contact us to exercise rights.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Effective” date above and, where required, provide additional notice.
